Events at Mizu-no-Eki
Michi-no-Eki Ichijodani Asakura Mizu-no-Eki hosts seasonal events throughout the year — from spring cherry-blossom festivals and the summer Manto-ya lantern night, to autumn cultural festivals celebrating the heritage of the Asakura clan.
Signature Annual Events
- Spring — Asakura Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Festival): Late March to early April. Enjoy cherry blossoms along the Asuwa river with local food stalls and stage performances.
- Summer — Echizen Asakura Manto-ya (Lantern Night): August. Thousands of lanterns light up the historic Ichijodani ruins in a magical evening event.
- Autumn — Wakuwaku Taiken Festa & Culture Festival: October. Hands-on cultural experiences, local food, and traditional stage performances.
- Winter — Seasonal Special Menus & Local Fairs: Occasional weekend events featuring winter Fukui specialties.
